Uplifter short links allow you to get an overview of exactly how many people have clicked on your links. This helps you to compare which marketing is most clicked on, without relying on ad platform clicks metrics which can vary between platforms.
Because we don't use cookies (therefore require cookie consent) to count each short link click, it can give a much richer picture of how your links are performing compared to analytics providers like Google or Adobe Analytics. These platforms register lower sessions and users as it can only capture them when cookie consent is provided.
The Uplifter short link click count is a tally of all the redirects that have occurred using the link. This count is recorded when a user clicks the link and is redirected to your website.
What Short link clicks Uplifter doesn't count
Uplifter will automatically remove any clicks from bots, from services like as Facebook or LinkedIn, so the number you see represents the number of real users that have interacted with the link.
Some bots aren't labelled correctly as bots, in this case we exclude the clicks using either the User Agent ID. Below is a table of User Agent ID's we exclude clicks from:
What we exclude | What we filter | How we filter | Excluded from |
Adobe InDesign software | User Agent ID | Contains *InDesign* | 16th May 2025 |
If you think you have bot traffic from your own service you want to exclude, reach out to support@uplifter.ai
