How to add dropdown tooltips (descriptions) to your dropdown parameters

In Track > Create links, you might have dropdown options which aren't immediately obvious what they mean to new starters or external agencies. To help users select the right dropdown when creating campaign links, you can add tooltips (?) which display descriptions when hovered over.

Tooltips shouldn't be needed if dropdowns names are labeled clearly, without acronyms, complex, industry or internal corporate language. So we recommend reviewing your naming, before adding tooltips.

How to add dropdowns tooltips (descriptions) to dropdown parameters

1. As an admin, go to Track > Edit dropdowns
2. Open the dropdown accordion you want to add descriptions for
3. In the top right, above the table, click on pink 'Actions > Add descriptions' button
4. In the 'Descriptions' column add any tooltip text
5. Click the pink 'Update' text to save / update the text
