You may have colleagues who want to share contact details easily with customers. Rather than coping data from an easily lost business card, you could get customers to scan a QR code to download the contact to their mobile phone using a vCard (Virtual Contact File).
A vCard, is an electronic file that stores contact information. It's a standard format for sharing contact details, similar to a business card.
What contact data can you share in a vCard?
- First name (required)
- Last name (required)
- Organisation (optional)
- Job Title (optional)
- Email (optional)
- Phone (optional)
- City (optional)
- State (optional)
- Country (optional)
- Zipcode (optional)
How to create a QR code vCard to share a contact
1. Go to Track > Create links page
2. In One or multiple tab, click on 'Contact' radio button
3. Enter the fields you wish to share, only First name and Last name are required
4. (Optional) Customise the QR code with branding and images as required.
5. Click on 'Create Contact' button
6. Click on 'Download' button
Limitations
We do not save any contact details in Uplifter to protect users PII. This means you will need to download the QR code and keep it safe on your device once created or recreate it again if you need it in the future.
We can't currently track QR code scans / clickthrough's on downloaded contacts due to limitations of vCards.
