When you connect an Uplifter workspace to your Google Analytics (UA/GA4) Profile / View, we import your metrics so you can compare the onsite performance of each link. This article explains how we extract that information, so you understand exactly what metrics mean and why they might change.
We use the Google Analytics Data API to extract landing page UTM data on a daily level. Whilst Universal Analytics had a key focus on providing real-time access to data, GA4 has introduced a processing lag that effects most events.
More detail about this lag is available from the Google Analytics documentation:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11198161?hl=en
We import the data every night at 4:00am local time, based on your Google Analytics Property / View timezone, extracted using the GA4 Admin API.
Because the Google Analytics API has a 48 hour time lag when processing data, we import and replace the last 3 days worth of data every night. This means when using our reporting, the data for the last two days may update / increase later.
