Some channels might need additional parameters captured in the campaign link, to capture additional granularity. Rather than always showing these additional parameters as optional, we can just show them to the user at the right time with dynamic parameters.
For example when a user selects Paid Search (PPC) as a medium from a dropdown, you might want to show the utm_term parameter. But when a user selects utm_medium=email, you might want to hide the utm_term parameter.
This makes filling out the Track>Create Links form easier, only showing parameters which are relevant to the user.
How to setup dynamic parameters (admins only)
IF they don't exist create your additional parameters as normal.
1. In the left-hand navigation bar, go to Track>Edit parameters
2. Click on the parameter you want only to show if certain dropdowns are selected
3. After 'Only show if' select your parameter and after 'is' select when it should be shown
4. Click 'Update' button
